Traffic has been building in the city centre since this morning, with many residents taking to social media to complain of long delays.

The A64 York Road and A64(M) New York Road (Leeds inner ring road) is closed all weekend from 8pm Friday 21 until 5:30am Monday 24, for demolition of the north span of the regent street flyover.

The A64 closure and traffic diverting across Leeds is also causing long delays to buses, with up to 45 minutes added to journeys.
