Police called to car flipped on its roof on snow covered Leeds road

Police were called to a car flipped on its roof during snow and icy weather in Leeds on Monday morning.

Officers were called to the A58 in Scarcroft heading towards Wetherby at about 7.30am on Monday morning.

The road, which was hit by the dawn snow storms, then became congested while traffic backed up behind the incident.

Police said there were no reports of any injuries and that the road was not formally closed. The car was damaged but nobody is believed to have been hurt.

The road is open as of 9am.
