The Health Secretary made an announcement in Parliament this morning after the Government set out its Covid-19 “winter plan” earlier this week.

Leeds will be in TIER 3, the strictest tier of restrictions in the new local lockdown system.

Household mixing is banned and hospitality venues have to remain closed.

Leeds Council has confirmed the Tier 3 measures will be reviewed on December 16 - when the council will make the case for the city to be moved to Tier 2.
