Victoria Avenue, close to the entrance to Leeds Bradford Airport, is set to be closed from 7pm to 6am overnight from tonight (Oct 9) until Sunday (Oct 13).
A number of councillors have taken to social media to advise those living nearby and travelling to and from the airport to be aware of the closure - and the huge suggested diversion.

Hide AdCouncillor Simon Seary posted an email which has been sent to councillors from Leeds City Council advising them of the upheaval.
The resurfacing works through the tunnels on the A658 Victoria Avenue will only affect southern/Bradford-bound traffic, with those heading north or towards Harrogate unaffected.
But a suggested diversion by the council will send drivers almost 15 miles along Harrogate Road, Pool Bank New Road, Leeds Road, Otley Road, the Rig Road, Broadway, Leeds Road, Harrogate Road and back onto Victoria Avenue.
Posting on Facebook, Yeadon City Councillors said: “We have been sent this information this morning. The plus is that the works will only be taking place at night so disruption should be kept to a minimum.

According to Google Maps, the diversion route should take around 30 minutes and is around 15 miles.
