Hide AdA spokesman for the team said: "Over this past weekend, officers from your local NPT once again attended Otley Chevin at the request of concerned residents, in relation to dangerously parked vehicles.
"As you can see from the below photographs, traffic is being forced into the oncoming lane by dangerous parking. On one of the photos below, this has resulted in the car having a damaged wing mirror.
"On this occasion, 18 tickets were issued for wilful obstruction of the highway & we will continue to monitor this road on a daily basis, to ensure the safety of everyone who uses the road (and their wing mirrors!)"
Social media users thanked the police for their work but said the problem needed addressing.

Hide AdOne user said: "Whilst I commend your attendance to this ongoing problem you are simply proving that ticketing does not stop the problem.
"I hope you are building a case for action by the highways and council to actively prevent this dangerous parking. Otherwise you are just a kite in a storm", while another added: "Is it not time after years of this sort of parking to look into a solution to the problem?
"They as to be an area that can be used to build a new carpark or en large the current ones to accommodate the amount of vehicles that need to park."
