Fears that the eastern leg of the massive transport project could be delayed by up to 20 years have today been reported in The Sunday Times. However - according to plans - these Leeds landmarks would be at risk of demolition if HS2 is to be implemented in Leeds:
7. Hilton Hotel
The hotel is one of 26 businesses set to be knocked down for HS2 to be built in the current plans
8. M1 Motorway
Delays and diversions will hit: the M1 junctions 44 and 45, the M1 junctions 30 and 31, M1 (junction 47), in both directions.
9. City centre car parks
