Man rescued after fire at Leeds block of flats

A man has been taken to hospital after a fire in his flat in Burmantofts this morning.

The 40-year-old was rescued from the blaze on the ground floor of a block on Lincoln Road just after 10am on Thursday.

He was suffering from smoke inhalation and is receiving treatment.

The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
