Major traffic delays on M62 after crash closes lane towards Leeds

There are major traffic delays on the M62 this morning due to a crash on the inside lane towards Leeds.

Traffic officers are en route to the crash scene at the slip road of J26 Chain Bar.

Highways England tweeted: "#M62 eastbound between the slip roads at J26 #ChainBar

"We currently have a lane 1 closure in place for a accident.

"#TrafficOfficers are on route to deal, traffic is heavy in the area so please make extra time for your journey."

The AA reported traffic for up to three miles due to the incident.

Lane one has been closed while traffic officers deal with the accident.
