Green light for 14 new electric vehicle chargers at Leeds retail park

Plans have been approved for over a dozen new electric vehicle chargers at a Leeds retail park.

Leeds City Council has granted full planning permission for 14 EV chargers to be installed at Cardigan Fields on Kirkstall Road.

The development will see 39 standard parking bays replaced with 28 charging bays for electric vehicles, with associated charging paraphernalia and hatched areas surrounding each bay.

“The EV chargers are to be located on the site of an existing car park area, utilising 39no. of the existing parking bays to provide 28no. EV charging bays.

“Therefore, the reconfiguration of the car park to provide EV charging will result in the loss of 10no. spaces.”
