Crash closes M62 causing rush hour traffic chaos near Leeds

Highways England reported a collision at 3.46pm, between Junction 33 at Ferrybridge and Junction 34 at Selby.

There was a full closure of the carriageway as officers cleared the incident to the hard shoulder.

By 4.06pm all lanes were reopened but there are long delays on the M62.

There is heavy traffic backing up to Junction 32A, the exit with the A1(M), causing further delays around Ferrybridge and Pontefract.
