Items inside the van included unique club Centurion tackle shields, new rugby balls and a set of new Leeds Rhinos coloured bibs.

Fans and the public have been asked to call the police if they are offered any of the items.

A spokesperson for Leeds Rhinos said: "The green and silver Centurion tackle shields are unique to the club and were made to order for away games last season.

Also in the van was a brand new set of First Utility Super League Rhino rugby balls and a set of Leeds Rhinos bibs. Like the tackle shields, these bibs are not available to buy, they feature the Rhinos logo and were produced by Centurion. They are in six colours, yellow, red, green, orange, pink and blue. "

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
