Talented Leeds teen Becky, 13, needs YOUR votes to perform at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend

An aspiring Leeds singer, who is taking part in a CBBC talent show, is hoping to triumph in a 24-hour public vote which opens today.

Becky Holmes, 13, is one of eight talented 11 to 14-year-old hopefuls who are taking part in the star-studded ‘Got What It Takes?’ show presented by X Factor 2015 star Lauren Platt.

The youngster has been joined by her mum Linda at the show’s musical bootcamp, where contestants have been taking on weekly industry challenges in the hope of being crowned the winner and performing at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2016.

Industry experts including Sheffield singer-songwriter Lucy Spraggan and S Club 7’s Bradley McIntosh have so far featured in the series.

Linda said: “It would mean everything to Becky to win as performing is all she’s ever wanted to do.”

The penultimate show in the 10-week series will be broadcast on CBBC today from 4.30pm, and voting lines will open soon after.
