Students set to hot-foot it onto Headingley pitch

Tadcaster East Community Primary School girls have been working hard in preparation for Friday night's Leeds Rhinos game.

The 19 girls ranging from 7 to 11 years have danced their socks off for four weeks, arriving at school to rehearse before lessons.

Tonight (Friday) they will perform with 15 other schools as part of the half time entertainment.

Headteacher Donna Bedford is delighted said: “It has been a real pleasure to watch the girls work together, supporting one another, to learn this complicated routine. Many of the girls have no previous dance experience.”

Tadcaster East is the only North Yorkshire school who holds the status of an ambassador school for the Leeds Rhinos.

The partnership has been hugely successful and will continue to grow and develop for years to come.

The children have enjoyed the coaching sessions, after school clubs, Ronnie the Rhinos’ visit to school as well as a half time pitch invasion in April.
