Stanningley Bypass near Owlcotes Asda crash: Two seriously injured as three men taken to hospital after car lands on roof

Three males have been taken to hospital, two with serious injuries, following a crash on Stanningley Bypass.

Police were called to reports of a car on its roof at around 8.40pm on Tuesday.

The crash involved a black Audi RS3 Quattro.

Road closures were put in place while emergency services dealt with the incident and the road was reopened just before 2.30am on Wednesday.

The males are not thought have life threatening injuries.

Roads policing unit officers are continuing enquiries into the incident.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Stanningley Bypass crash:

"Police were called to a report of a car on its roof on the Stanningley bypass at about 8.39pm yesterday (Tuesday).

"Road closures were put in place while emergency services dealt with the incident, which involved a black Audi RS3 Quattro.

"Three males were taken to hospital.

"Two of them were found to have serious injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening.

"The road was re-opened shortly before 2.30am today.

"Enquiries into the incident are continuing by the Roads Policing Unit."
