Bunton told listeners of her Heart Breakfast radio show, while being probed for details by co-host Jamie Theakston, that "everything will be announced just after 3pm today on social media, you can go to @SpiceGirls".
She added, to Theakston: "Please don't look at me any more, or I might just blurt it out."

Who are the Spice Girls?
The Spice Girls, formed in 1994 and one of the most successful acts of the decade, but they have not performed together since the London Olympics closing ceremony in 2012.
Speculation about the Spice Girls reuniting for a tour has followed Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner since they last reunited to perform at the London Olympics in 2012.
The Girl Power group officially split up in 2000, and although their fanbase has all grown up millions around the world still sing along to the likes of Wannabe, 2 Become 1 and Spice Up Your Life.
It looks like fans will have the chance to see the Spice Girls perform their hits one more time after it was reported that they are set to do a UK tour in 2019.
Are the Spice Girls tour reuniting and touring?
According to The Sun, the pop super-group will announce their return on Monday. The paper also reported previously there would be 13 UK dates.
Simon Fuller, who managed the Spice Girls to the peak of their fame in the 1990s, is said to be behind the proposed UK tour.
A video message is expected to announce the reunion on Monday.
Will Victoria Beckham perform?
Victoria hasn’t performed with the group since 2012, but she was photographed with her bandmates earlier this year when they got together at Geri’s house in February.
Fans hoping to see Posh Spice sing live will be in for a disappointment, though, as she apparently isn’t planning on joining the tour, according to reports.
Now a fashion designer, Victoria has moved to distance herself from the band more so than other band members.
Will the Spice Girls tour come to Leeds and play the First Direct Arena?
It has been reported that the band will do three nights at Wembley Stadium, which has a capacity of 90,000, as the culmination of the UK tour.
However where the women will go for the other dates has not been announced, so it is not known if the Spice Girls will play the First Direct Arena in Leeds.
On the Spiceworld Tour in the 1990s the band didn’t play Leeds, Mel B’s hometown. Their only UK dates were London, Manchester, Birmingham and Sheffield.
Given they could sell out any stadium in the country it’s likely the stars will have a tough job working out the details of where to perform and after Britney Spears opted for Scarborough and Brighton Pride for her Piece of Me tour, who knows where they might end up.
When will tickets go on sale?
No details have been given on how to get tickets and when they will be available.
It is likely tickets will be available to buy online.
Will Mel B go on the Spice Girls tour?
Rumours have been circulating of tour arrangements since they were photographed back together in February.
Arrangements may also be affected by Mel B’s recent admission to rehab due to a diagnosis of PTSD.
