SPADE WORK: One of the PSCOs at Rothwell Country Park.

The officers joined the Friends of Rothwell Country Park to help clear the area alongside the beck and plant new trees there.

Together with eight residents and park ranger Joe Walker, they planted around 100 trees throughout the course of the weekend.

The Friends meet monthly to look at community issues linked to the park and help with its general maintenance.
