Selby Road Leeds crash: Elderly woman taken to hospital after car crashes into field in Garforth

An elderly woman has been taken to hospital after her car crashed into a field in Garforth.

The crash happened on Selby Road, near the junction with Bluebell Avenue, at about 10.30am.

A Vauxhall Corsa came off the road and ended up in a field.

The driver of the Corsa, an elderly woman, was injured and taken to hospital by ambulance.

No other vehicle was involved in the crash.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "We received a call at 10.34am this morning from a member of the public, reporting that a car had come off the road and ended in a field, on Selby Road near to Bluebell Avenue, Garforth

"The car was a Vauxhall Corsa. No other vehicle was involved.

"An ambulance crew attended and the elderly female driver has been taken to hospital. Her condition is not yet known."
