Roundhay school fire: 11 pictures of damage at derelict school as firefighters tackle blaze
Firefighters have spent the night tackling a blaze at a derelict school in North Leeds.
The fire broke out at around 6pm on Saturday, March 6 at the old Elmete Wood School, on Elmete Lane in Roundhay. Water was pumped from the lake in Roundhay Park to tackle the blaze, which has destroyed most of the roof of the building. Our photographer Simon Hulme has been down to the scene where crews are still working this morning. These 11 pictures show the damage to the derelict school - which may now have to be demolished:
