David Pullan, 81, was last seen at his home in Stone Brig Lane at 3.45pm this afternoon (Wednesday).
He is described as a white man, around 5ft tall, of slim build, bald, with a grey beard.
West Yorkshire Police put out a missing person appeal.
But shortly before 6.30pm, they said he had been found.
"David Pullan who was subject of an earlier missing persons apepal has been found safe and well," a spokesperson said.
