Revealed: Top Deliveroo dishes in Leeds as service celebrates birthday

On-demand delivery service Deliveroo has celebrated its first birthday in Leeds.

Since its launch more than 110 restaurants have signed up to the scheme which delivers food to offices and homes across the city.

In the first year its team of riders have covered over 88,000km - the equivalent of travelling around the world more than twice.

Deliveroo has revealed the top 10 most popular dishes ordered in Leeds since the service launched in June last year. My Thai’s Chicken Bangkok Pad Thai topped the list, followed closely by Wagamama’s Chicken Katsu Curry and the Dirty Cheeseburger at MEATliquor.

Caroline Hazlehurst, general manager at Deliveroo, said: “We’ve had a fantastic first year and the service has been incredibly well received by local foodies.

“We’ve served thousands of local customers and we’re looking forward to continuing to bring delicious dishes straight from the hands of Leeds chefs to customers’ doors.

“We already have a number of fantastic partners across the city, with some exciting expansion plans in the pipeline to widen the variety of restaurants on offer to our customers.”
