Raheem Wilks murder investigation: Who has been arrested and charged?

Detectives investigating the murder of Raheem Wilks have made a total of 10 arrests to date.

Mr Wilks was shot outside a barber's shop in Gathorne Terrace, Harehills, on January 26 and died later in hospital.

A post mortem examination revealed that he had died as a result of a single gunshot wound to the chest.

The 19-year-old was a father and the older brother of Leeds United player Mallik Wilks.

Charged

Keal Richards, 21, of Francis Street, Chapeltown, has been charged with murder. He first appeared before magistrates on Tuesday and a hearing was held in chambers at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday. He has been remanded into custody until his next hearing on March 1.

Jaydn Manners, 23, of Louis Street, Chapeltown, has also been charged with Mr Wilks' murder. He first appeared before Leeds Magistrates' Court on Saturday. He appeared at Leeds Crown Court today (Tuesday) and has been remanded into custody until the hearing on March 1.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the shooting of a man in Leeds. He was arrested by armed officers from an address in Hunslet yesterday (Monday) on suspicion of murder.

A 31-year-old woman was also arrested from the address on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Released on bail

A 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder during the first 24 hours of the investigation. He remains on bail technically but has been recalled to prison on other matters. 

A 19-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and was being questioned by police on January 28. She has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

A 19-year-old women was arrested at an address in Chapeltown on February 2 on suspicion of assisting an offender and was later arrested for conspiracy to murder. She has been released on bail.

A 31-year-old woman, who was arrested in Castleford on February 2 on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, has been released on police bail.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on Friday evening on suspicion of murder and released on bail yesterday.

Three men - aged 28, 29 and 30 - were also arrested on Friday evening on suspicion of assisting an offender and have been released on bail.
