The battle for control of Leeds City Council takes place today, with voters taking the chance to cast their votes and have their say on who they want to represent their local community.
Polling Stations have been set up across the city - some of them in unique spots - so that constituents across the city's 33 wards can have their say, and some with their trust canine companions by their side (or left outside in some cases).
Polls are set to close at 1 pm and the thousands of votes will be counted to determine the makeup of the council for the coming years.
