But the council has previously said it can only justify funding works to replace existing speed bumps with other traffic calming measures on roads where serious injuries or fatalities have already been recorded.
7. Emergency response
The council has previously told residents that the road is on its priority list for gritting because it is on a bus route.
8. Damage caused
Residents say the speed bumps have done nothing to stop drivers speeding and appear to be contributing to the crashes. This picture was taken in October 2017.
9. Firefighters at work
A council response to residents' concern in November 2018 said there had only been two 'serious injury' accidents in the past five years, which was not enough to justify investment in new traffic calming measures.
10. Fed up
Resident Keith Ashton said: "What the council are trying to say to us is there's been no serious accident. They've hit my wall twice and hit my car. I've lost my job because of it." Photo: Bruce Rollinson
11. Thorough investigation
Since being contacted by the YEP, the council has said it plans to investigate the concerns raised thoroughly and speak to police. Photo: Bruce Rollinson
