Leeds recycling centres: 8 rules you must follow as tips reopen in Leeds

Recycling centres are reopening in Leeds in line with changes to lockdown announced by Boris Johnson on Sunday.

But Leeds Council has issued a list of rules which visitors to the tip must abide by while recycling waste.

Currently, Leeds Council has reopened centres in:

Kirkstall

Tips and recycling centres are reopeningTips and recycling centres are reopening
Tips and recycling centres are reopening

Meanwood

Middleton

Pudsey

Seacroft

The council says it is 'working hard to reopen the other sites as soon as possible' including Wetherby (Thorpe Arch) and Yeadon.

What are the rules for visiting tips and recycling centres during lockdown?

You must:

use the car you booked with

be a Leeds resident

not bring a trailer or a van (cars only)

not bring anyone else with you (unless you have a blue badge)

keep your car windows closed

stay 2 metres apart from other people

not leave your car until parked in a bay

Staff will not be able to help you dispose of your waste.
