Former Chapeltown social club could be transformed into five-bedroom social housing
Plans revealed to turn former Chapeltown social club into social housing
A former social club in Chapeltown could be turned into housing if planning permission can be agreed.

Housing Leeds has applied to turn a vacant building at 30 Grange View into a five-bedroom social housing property.
Leeds City Council said it was considering a full planning application to convert the building, which was previously used as a family home.
A design report said: “The proposal involves the change of use of the existing vacant dwelling, a former social club, to provide accommodation for up to five- seven residents within a managed social housing setting.
“The property will function as a residential dwelling and will not materially alter the residential character of the area.
“Before the property was converted and extended into a social club, this property was a family home.”
The report said shared kitchen and bathroom facilities would be provided at the site near Potternewton Park.
It said: “Any internal alterations required will be limited and designed to ensure a safe, comfortable and functional living environment for residents.
“The property will be managed to ensure that accommodation is accessible and suitable for a range of occupants.”
A change-of-use planning application is out for consultation until September 10.
