The Sundry Income Enforcement Team is wiping the cash, which relates to various services where all potential routes for recovering the outstanding amounts have been exhausted and the debtor cannot be found. The debts include environmental services, recharges to tenants for damage to property, garage sites and leasehold service charges.

In the latest round, a total of 161 accounts with a value of £65,875.18 have been referred for write off. A council report says: “It has been determined that the debts are irrecoverable.”
