Police return stolen car to owner just TEN minutes after it was taken in Leeds

If your car is stolen, you don't really expect to see it again - let alone ten minutes later.

But police in Leeds stunned the owner of a white BMW X5 when they were returned it almost straight away.

The car was taken in a burglary in Headingley on Friday night, but the hapless thieves were spotted just moments later by officers who gave chase and recovered the vehicle.

Leeds West patrol team four posted a photo of the successful sting on their Twitter page with the comment 'service with a smile!'
