Police launch investigation after '˜attack' on man in street in Leeds

An investigation is under way following a reported street attack in Leeds.

Police were called at about 3.30am today by a man who claimed to have been attacked in Raynel Drive, Ireland Wood.

Officers attended the scene and located the 24-year-old man, who was uninjured.

They also found a blue Citroen Picasso, which appeared to have been damaged in a collision.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: “Enquiries are continuing at the scene and with the victim to establish the circumstances of what has taken place.”

A stretch of Raynel Drive was cordoned off by police this morning.
