Yorkshire Swan Hospital share incredible transformation of five orphaned cygnets

The Yorkshire Swan Hospital have shared an incredible transformation of five orphaned cygnets.

The cygnets were orphaned after their parents were killed crossing over railway tracks in Ealand, North Lincolnshire.

The tiny youngsters were rescued by Network Rail.

Staff then brought the cygnets to the Yorkshire Swan Hospital, where they have been grown and nurtured since.

Now, the cygnets are ready to be released to their rightful place in the wild and leave the Sanctuary.

The Yorkshire Swan Hospital shared the amazing news on social media.

They said: "What a difference a few months make.

"These five cygnets were orphaned, after their parents were killed crossing over railway tracks at Ealand, North Lincolnshire, earlier this year.

"The tiny youngsters were rescued by Network Rail staff who brought them into us, and were reared here at the Sanctuary.

"Fully grown, they have now been released to their rightful place in the wild."
