Winnebagel Café in Pudsey sees orders double overnight after Danny Malin appearance
The owner of a new Pudsey café said they had seen orders double overnight after Danny Malin from 'Rate My Takeaway' arrived to try one of their signature bagels.
Winnebagel Café is a coffee shop specialising in bagels, sandwiches and home-baked cakes.
Owner Andi Smith, 45, said she "couldn't put a price" on the appearance of Youtube sensation Danny Malin turning up at her takeaway - with orders increasing by more than 100% in less than 24 hours.
Danny, 41, has become a Youtube star recently with his extremely popular 'Rate my takeaway' channel - racking up an astonishing number of subscribers in just a few months.
He tried a breakfast bagel and gave it a full 10/10 rating, with many customers since mimicking his order.
Andi said Danny was an "amazing, nice guy" and praised his funny videos.
She said she had been a fan for months and couldn't believe it when she was told he was on his way.
Since his visit, orders have skyrocketed - with Andi stating she may need to employ more staff to keep up with demand.
Andi said: "We have seen our orders double since he came on Wednesday.
"He does it all for free and is such a nice guy, we will love him forever for what he has done.
"His videos are very positive and exactly what the hospitality sector needs right now.
"He is so fun to watch."
Andi said many customers have spoken about Danny's appearance since midweek and most had matched his exact order.
She said: "On a typical Saturday we would probably serve around 10 of the type of bagel he ordered, there were more than 25 today.
"You can't put a price on it.
"He is so nice."
Andi launched the business in September 2020 in Pudsey and wanted to thank local residents for their amazing support so far.
She added: "It has been hard to open a business during lockdown but the support we have had has been amazing."
