Why breweries from across the globe are heading to Leeds this weekend
It's the city festival renowned for bringing together breweries from across the world.
More than 30 breweries will be represented at Northern Monk’s Dark & Wild City beer festival being held at the Old Flax Store on Holbeck on Friday, November 22, and Saturday, November 23.
Northern Monk founder, Russell Bisset, pledged this year’s Dark & Wild City was going to bring something completely unique to the table.
"Since 2017, the festival has focused solely on dark beer. Introducing wild and sour beer into the festival format ensures that it’s as accessible as possible, as we bring together two of our
favourite beer styles for one big party at the Old Flax Store," he said. "We’re looking forward to seeing you there.”
Festival session times are as follows: Friday (Nov 22) 6pm-10:30pm; and Saturday (Nov 23): 12pm-4.30pm and 6pm-10.30pm.
As well as the beer, GamezstationUK will be parking their 12-seater gaming van outside the Old Flax Store for the evening festival sessions.
There’ll also be live music from Bad Kush, Redeye Revival, The Hyena Kill, Def Goldblum, 1968, Battalions, DJ Bjorn, Sam Orr and DJ Firebrave, with a DJ set from Northern Monk Patrons Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs on the Saturday evening session.
Food will be available from Parm Star, The York Roast Co, Harewood Food & Drink Project, Dim Sum Su and Maude Coffee.
