Some Leeds residents said they wanted Alex Beresford to replace him, which has been a common theme across social media as viewers praised him for standing up to Piers following his Meghan Markle comments.

Others in Leeds want alternative ITV morning show presenters to take Morgan's place - with some votes for Eamonn Holmes or Phillip Schofield to switch their This Morning roles to star on Good Morning Britain.

Stand-up comedian Jim Davidson OBE was a popular breakfast show hosting-option among the people of Leeds, while others said they would like to see Keith Lemon, Bradley Walsh or Oprah Winfrey on there.

One Leeds United fan unsurprisingly wants Marcelo Bielsa to become the next GMB presenter.
