Nine city streets won as part of August’s draw

A lucky street in Leeds has been named the city’s first People's Postcode Lottery winner in September.

Residents on Beckside, Aberford (LS25 3DD) have scooped up to £1,000 per ticket after they were named among today’s People’s Postcode Lottery prize winners.

This makes the quant village street the first winner in Leeds during the month of September.

Nine city streets won as part of August’s draw, while 11 streets won across June and July collectively.

Leeds previously endured a six week winless streak during April and early May.

The People's Postcode Lottery is a subscription lottery which costs £12.25 per month to play. People play with their chosen postcode and are automatically entered into all draws.

At least 33 per cent of the ticket price goes to a worthy cause and players of the People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £1.2billion to date for charities and organisations.
