These are the nicest areas to live in in Leeds according to Manning Stainton
A Leeds-based estate agent has named to top 15 areas in the city to live in.
Manning Staintonpublished the list this week, with the suburbs ranked by factors including house prices, amenities, schools and crime rates. Does your area make the list? Have a look and see for yourself.
Horsforth topped the list, with the west Leeds suburb buzzing with shops, bars and restaurants. Its proximity to the airport, links to the city centre and ring road also contributed to its ranking.
Only a ten-minute drive from the city centre, Chapel Allerton has everything in the way of trendy bars, places to eat and cosy pubs such as The Mustard Pot (pictured).
The pretty village of Bramhope made number three on Manning Stainton's list. It's a little further out than Chapel Allerton, but the area has a tight knit community and is on the doorstep of stunning Golden Acre Park.
Its famous park and abundance of restaurants makes Roundhay one of the top five places to live in Leeds. And despite the 700-acres to roam in, you're still only a stone's throw from the city centre.
Once considered Leeds' student hub, Headingley is becoming increasingly popular with a wider demographic due to its vibrant buzz. The area has loads going on, from packed pubs and bars to cricket matches at the Carnegie Stadium.
Known for its pubs and cycling, Otley is a bit further out. The historic market town has excellent links to Leeds, Ilkley and Bradford and with the Dales on your doorstep, few can argue its appeal.
