"Once restored, water may be cloudy or discoloured, this will return to normal shortly after and you can help clear this by running your tap for a few minutes."

Yorkshire Water said they "are aware of the issue and would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused".

Residents took to Twitter to ask Yorkshire Water for help - with many saying they had no water from their taps on Wednesday night.

One said: "We have no water at all, what can we do?"

Another added: "My supply has completely stopped.

"The street outside has flooded."

Yorkshire Water later tweeted an update: "We are aware of an issue in #MarkhamAvenue this evening, and we have our teams on the way to investigate this, as we have more details, we will keep you updated.
