Residents complain in Calverley after leak leaves hundreds of homes with no water

Many residents took to social media to complain about their lack of water after waking up on Monday.

The problem is thought to be due to a leak on Woodhall Lane in the village.

Yorkshire Water has now provided an update to residents on their live map.

The update said: "We're really sorry but customers may have low pressure or no water in the area.

"We're working hard to get your water back to normal as soon as possible.

"Once it's fixed, your water may be cloudy or discoloured - you can clear this by running your tap for a few minutes."

It is not yet known when the water will be restored to parts of the village.
