Prince Philip: Sign our Book of Condolence for the Duke of Edinburgh

So here at the Yorkshire Evening Post we are giving you a chance to share your memories and tributes of the prince by opening a book of condolence in association with our sister title, nationalworld.com. which we will collect and print in this paper next Monday.

We would love to see your thoughts about the man who stood beside the Queen throughout her reign.

And we particularly want to hear your memories of him, especially if you were lucky enough to meet him.

The funeral of HRH the Duke of Edinburgh will be unlike any other royal funeral.

The pandemic - and his personal wishes - mean that this will be a more intimate funeral than ever before for a member of the Royal Family.

Adhering to coronavirus restrictions, only 30 mourners will be allowed inside St George's Chapel, in the grounds of Windsor Castle on Saturday, limiting the event to the closest members of his family.

And while the funeral itself will be covered by broadcasters from around the world, there will be none of the usual pomp of a state funeral as Prince Philip chose to have a ceremonial funeral.
