Powercut affecting more than 150 homes in Leeds

More than 150 homes have been hit with powercuts in Leeds this morning.

Homes in LS2, LS27 and LS17 have all lost power according to the Northern Powergrid live map.

In LS27, the powercut was first reported shortly after 6.20am and is not expected to be restored until 2.30pm this afternoon (Oct 8).

The live map reported: "The power cut affecting your property has been caused by an unexpected problem with the electricity cable that serves your area.

"Our team are working hard to restore your power as quickly as possible."

A total of 170 homes across the postcodes are believed to be affected.
