Police name 34-year-old dad of three as M62 crash victim

Police have confirmed the identity of a man who died in a crash on the eastbound M62 on Monday evening.

James Nicholson, 34, was killed when his white Fiat Ducato Van crashed with a white and blue Heavy Goods Vehicle close to junction 29 at Lofthouse.

Paying tribute to James this week, his family said that James was “a loving Dad to three beautiful children, a much-loved son, partner, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to so many.

Officers from West Yorkshire Police Major Collision Enquiry Team continue to investigate the cause of the incident and ask for witnesses or those with dash cam footage to make contact with them on 101, quoting Log 1347 10 January 2022
