Police launch search for missing pensioner amid urgent concerns for his welfare

Police have launched an urgent search for a missing pensioner from Ilkley.

Leslie Philpott, 76, has been reported missing from his home in Ilkley on Wednesday morning (March 24).

He is described as being about 5ft 8ins tall and is believed to be wearing a dark blue jacket and dark blue jeans.

He was last seen at about 9.30am today in the Riddings Road area, police said.

Police are urgently concerned for his welfare and officers are making enquiries in the area to locate him.

Anyone with information that may assist in locating him is asked to contact police on 999, quoting log 447 of today.
