Jinder, 40, said the tune - the first ever Leeds United Punjabi song - is proving a big hit with United fans across the world.

The song is called 'Marching on Together Fans Gonde Boliyan' - which translates to English as 'Marching on Together, The Fans Sing Songs.'

It features the traditional beats of UK Punjabi music with words paying tribute to Jinder's beloved club accompanied by the sounds of the traditional Punjabi 'dhol' drums.

Jinder, who co-wrote the song with Punjabi lyricist Sukhchain Singh Gill, said the song is accompanied with a bilingual music video filmed at Elland Road.

The video, which is on YouTube, has been fully translated into English so all United fans can enjoy it.

Jinder, of Solihull in the West Midlands, said he has been a Leeds fan since he was nine-years-old and his first favourite player was Gordon Strachan.

His uncle Jaz was a Leeds fan and he got Jinder interested in the club during the 1989/90 season.

Jinder became hooked for life after Jaz took him to the Aston Villa v Leeds United match in the 1991/92 season.

Jinder said: "We had to go to the Villa end - it was very hard to watch your team when you can't even cheer.

"I remember going to school wearing my yellow and blue Asics Leeds jacket. I used to get it confiscated by my headteacher, he was a Manchester United fan."

Jinder has been a singer for around 20 years and has performed concerts across the globe in a Bhangra duet with his wife Seetal.

Jinder, who was at Elland Road earlier this year to watch Leeds play Reading, said the response to the song has been "phenomenal."

He said: "Leeds have got a diverse community of fans all over the world.

"People from Malaysia have contacted me to say it's fantastic and people from Leeds are really enjoying the video as well.

"I want to get everybody smiling again really."

Jinder said he has introduced his 12-year-old daughter Raj to Leeds and she is now a United fan.

Jinder said: "I think Mr Bielsa has given us a good foundation and now we need to build on that foundation.

"Three or four top quality players that can strengthen our team and I think we will be OK in the Premier League.

"If Aston Villa can survive, I'm sure we can."
