New book reveals 111 places not to be missed in Leeds

Can you really sit in Her Majesty’s seat, catch a Dutch water taxi, go otter spotting in the centre of town, or get married on a tiny island in the city?

The answers to these questions and much more are featured in a new guidebook which provides a fascinating insight into a city rich in history, heritage and culture with a plethora of hidden places and talents. 111 Places in Leeds That You Shouldn’t Miss aims to take the reader off the beaten path to find the hidden places, stories, shops and neighbourhoods that unlock the city's true character, history, and flavor. It has been written by Kim Revill who originally hails from Oulton but has been living in Brussels since the 1990s. Writing the book signalled a welcome return to Leeds visiting familiar landmarks and embarking on a journey of discovery to many more often lesser known parts of the city she still calls home. "Returning to Leeds after years living out of the city instilled a wide-eyed wonderment of childhood walking around, and a renewed curiosity that I hope is reflected in the book," said Kim. The book, priced at £12.99, is available via: www.111places.com/shop
