Zoe Anderton has released a new CD called 'A Harp Full of Love' with 50 per cent of all sales going to the MND Association.

Professional harpist Zoe, 36, of Suffolk, said she is not a rugby league fan but was inspired by Rob's courage when she saw him discussing his MND diagnosis on BBC Breakfast TV news in January.

The CD album features Zoe's harp versions of pop songs including Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol, Fix You by Coldplay and Supermarket Flowers by Ed Sheeran

Zoe said: "He is such a positive guy and is so likeable. I just wanted to do something positive to help MND.

Zoe, a former music teacher, said an ex-work colleague suffered from MND.

She said: "It is so cruel, it strips away so much of your personality.

"Rob has really turned his diagnosis into raising awareness of the illness to try and raise money to find cures.

"I just find that really inspirational because he looked beyond himself and wanted to raise awareness of the illness for other people that are diagnosed."

She added: "Harp is often seen as quite a classical, intimidating instrument. By playing pop music that is recognisable, I’m hoping people will be more open to the instrument.

"When I play live people often comment how it made their evening, how they were in tears when they heard a specific song they knew that meant something to them.

"It’s an album that will be calming and relaxing to those that hear it."

- More than 27,000 people have signed a Change.org petition calling for Leeds Rhinos legend Kevin Sinfield to be knighted.

It comes after he ran seven marathons in seven days in support of former teammate Rob Burrow.

Sinfield’s efforts have raised nearly £2.5m for the MND Association so far.
