More than £10,000 has been raised for the funeral of a popular Leeds 19-year-old - with 200 motorbikes set to line the streets for a procession.

Luke Deegan was riding a white Aprilla motorcycle on Paradise Way, next to the A1(M) on Friday January 24 when he collided with a Toyota pick-up truck.

West Yorkshire Police said the cyclist was treated by ambulance staff but sadly pronounced dead shortly later.

Since his death, family and friends have raised an incredible £10,000 towards funeral costs.

More than 500 people have donated to the fundraising page since the launch.

Now, Luke's friends have released details of the funeral procession.

Posting on Facebook, Ryan Doyle said the route would begin at the Old Red Lion Pub in Whinmoor at 10.10am on Friday (February 28).

The procession will be 'alongside Ryan all the way' to the service at Whitkirk St Mary's Church.

Ryan has asked Leeds residents to 'uncover their motorcycles, trikes and quads' to join the procession.

Many people have taken to the fundraising page to pay tribute to Luke.

One said: "Rest in Peace Luke, shine bright now Angel.. Taken way too soon xx"

Another added: "We’ll give you the send off you deserve Deegan, love you always mate!
