The Premier Leaguge campaign might be kicking-off in a few days, but some of Leeds United’s biggest stars took time out of their busy schedule to surprise fans last night.
Anton Stach was launching his brand new burger at Meat:Stack, which has been designed to raise money for charity. Supporters had the opportunity to come down to the restaurant for a meet-and-greet - but soon got more than they bargained for.
Not only was the German international on hand to pose for photos and sign shirts, captain Ethan Ampadu and a few other stars also popped along. New summer signing Tarik Muharemović and Willy Gnoto also stopped by and made time to take selfies with supporters.
One young fan had even made the trip all the way from Glasgow to meet his favourite player - Anton Stach. He left with more than he bargained for, including a hug and a signed pair of football boots.
The Moustachi cheese burger, which is available at Meat:Stack, will help raise money for the Elhadji Diouf Foundation. £2 from each sale will be donated to the charity.
Stach’s creation will be available through the opening weeks of the season before earning a permanent place on the menu. He said: “I wanted to back a business Leeds fans care about and raising money for a foundation my family has given so much to at the same time means everything.”
