Mr Goodridge said: "If the required amount of tickets hasn’t sold on the deadline date, the winner will receive a cash prize equal to how many tickets have sold, which raffall pay directly to the winner.

"All the terms and conditions are on raffall.com. The minimum we’re looking for to auction off the house is 350,000 tickets."

Mr Goodridge added: “We’re thrilled with the number of people that have entered the raffle so far – we’ve had amazing feedback too that it’s certainly a deal not to be missed.

"As the deadline approaches, we’d love to get as many people as possible entering as it’s a wonderful opportunity for someone to win what’s been for us, a cracking home, plus a fully stocked wine cellar too – just in time for the festive season."

“We’re also raising money for local charity Leeds Cares, so the entries we have, the more money we can raise for such a worthwhile cause. There’s not long left and for just £2, there’s no reason not to enter.”

Mr Goodridge, who works as a self employed consultant in the building industry, has said he hopes to donate tens of thousands of pounds to Leeds Children’s Hospital if the raffle goes to plan.

The dad-of-two has been trying to sell the house for about a year and said a couple of sales have fallen through, one failing due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The house, which was built in 1868, has five double bedrooms, four bathrooms and five reception rooms, and also has large landscaped gardens.

It also has a wine cellar containing more than 300 bottles of vintage wine which is being included as part of the raffle.

One of the other rooms in the property is currently being used as a games room and features a framed, signed Leeds United football shirt on the wall.

Mr Goodridge decided to raffle the house after reading how Dale and Kathy Tate of Ossett, Wakefield, recently successfully raffled off their home and car through an online auction site.
