Alongside the comedy, attendees can expect award-winning street food; pop up cocktail bars, cafés, bars, shops and stalls.

Event organisers M&B today pledged to bring big laughs to the city and an ultimate day-out for comedy fans featuring headine act after headline act.

Operations director James Penny said putting on an event in Leeds presents an exciting opportunity.

He said: “ We’ve wanted to put on an event in Leeds for some time now. We know it is a city of comedy fans and the perfect location for this huge comedy event. Now more than ever, people need something to look forward to. What we can promise is that this event will be the biggest comedy event Leeds has ever seen with six world-class comedy headliners performing across one day.

"It’s been a tough year for live comedy but it’s coming back with a bang! We can’t wait to announce the line-up on Monday”

M&B work with some of the biggest names in comedy, music and sports and will hope that this is the first of many events at Temple Newsam over the coming years.

Promoters are confident that the event will be something to look forward to next year as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. However, because of the size of the location, plans can be adapted to run the event with social distancing should that be required and the event will be completely safe and COVID compliant.
