Non-essential shops, pubs, gyms and hair salons all reopened yesterday as lockdown restrictions eased.

Throughout the day, the city centre packed out with people looking for a long awaited pint and a shopping spree in Primark.

Here is how you reacted:

Vicki Smith - "I've been in Leeds and to be honest it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be."

Carolanne Iveson - "Nope going to wait a bit longer."

Amanda Hayes - "It was nice to see town humming with atmosphere and to be able to wander about."

Pauline Callaghan - "Queues are not too bad to get into Primark. It's the queueing to pay that's the killer."

Liam McCarthy - "Brilliant to see."

Anthony Richardson - "Not in a rush to get to the pub...don't fancy queueing etc... maybe later in the week."

Jay Birch - "It is wonderful to see."

Neil Wormy - "Great to see. Well done Leeds for supporting your city."

Jade Gilboy - "Went for a cheeky pint. Yaaassss."

Christine Houseman - "No don't think I will be going anywhere for a while yet. x"
