Leeds NFL fan breaks world record on US tour - watching 32 matches in 84 days

A NFL superfan from Leeds has broken the record for attending matches at every NFL stadium after watching 32 matches in only 84 days.

Jacob Barnor, who lives in the city centre, has been travelling across the US for three months visiting every stadium.

Jacob had first planned to visit four or five stadiums on his trip, but then read about a woman who had previously broken the world record for visiting every stadium in 2015.

The 25-year-old said: "Once I saw that, I thought - that's pretty cool, I could do that!

"I worked it out from a financial aspect and I was lucky that everything just fell into place."

Jacob used savings that were intended to get him onto the property ladder to fund the trip.

He added: "When I decided that I really wanted to do this, I realised it was about the right amount of money and I just decided to go for it.

"I can get a house another day, but I thought if I don't do this now, I never will."

At the final game on his journey last night, New Orleans Saints victory at Atlanta Falcons', the Falcons' CEO presented Jacob with pitch-side tickets to February's Super Bowl.

Jacob had contacted NFL UK for help and advice along the way - and it turned out they had been following his whole journey, with the surprise waiting at the final match.

Jacob said: "It had been something planned all along, it was insane. They said it so nonchalant-ly too, just handed me a golden ball and said 'oh yeah, you're going to the Super Bowl'.

"It was great and I wasn't expecting it at all, so it made it all the better that it had been kept a surprise."
