It allows exhibition attendees to explore a 3D gallery space that is interactive. They can also experience guided tours, engage in discussions and networking to simulate the in-person experience, many in the art world are desperate to get back to.

And the virtual gallery space aims to provide emerging artists across the globe with the opportunity to showcase their work through these exhibitions helping them to garner much-needed exposure during the pandemic.

Meera hopes she may have found an answer to the art world's separation from physical exhibitions and fairs.

The Leeds city centre based gallerist said: “A lot of artists and galleries are struggling to keep afloat during this pandemic. The art community yearns for art fairs and interaction with the art community. New technologies have the power to create innovative online experiences in the art world - especially at a time like this when artists are unable to keep selling their work through art fairs and physical galleries. I don’t feel we should have to wait for the pandemic to be over to be able to engage with art and be inspired by it.

"This is why I launched Galleria Meera so that we can all experience and engage with art in a new way, wherever we are”.

* Meera's latest online virtual exhibition, An Exploration of Colour in Portraiture, is being staged on Saturday, February 27, featuring nine artists from countries around the globe including Singapore, USA, and Hong Kong. For more details CLICK HERE.
